    Red face My Phal. Timothy Christopher had a surprise.

    A second bud opened on my new little phal, and normally I wouldn't post this, but I was very surprised. You see, when I got it, I was certain that this particular bud was a goner. It showed all the signs of bud blast. So I get up this morning, and the thing went and opened anyway! The flower is a little misshapen, as it was certainly heading for flower heaven. I don't know why it opened up anyway, but I am very proud of my odd little flower, it made me a special birthday present all it's own

    I must say it is my favorite mini, there is subtle yellow shading on the bottom petals and the super light pink speckles, and it has a great sheen and bloom size for such a tiny plant so the feeling is mutual.
