One of my Vanda's is in bloom again, though this time around it only gave me
2 blooms... the other buds dried up most probably due to the hot weather we're
having at the moment.

What a beautiful color, Bravo !!
Very beautiful. Yes. The heat is causing some bud blasting here too![]()

Lovely colour !
Randy, do you know the parents and haw bid are the flowers?

Im calling this a noid as the label has been covered but roots and there is no way for me
to read it. I will get back to you on the flower size.
Beautiful! I used to have this semi-terete variety and I remember it to have a slight fragrance.
It's the opposite for me here Randy. Many of my vandas love this heat and are in bloom for the first time this year. I always get the most blooms in the summer months when it's hottest.
thanks angel, glad you liked it. Maybe you were able to provide a much higher humidity for
them than I could. I always try to up the humidity by hosing the surroundings of my grow
area.
I usually give a second, lighter watering in the mid-afternoon if temperatures really soar (like beyond 32 deg. Centigrade). I don't use shade cloth for the vandas and the dendrobiums (although I know some semi-strap vandas and the species orchids would benefit from it).
