A Golden Aranda?

This is in bloom right now. I'm don't know what kind of vanda it is but the flowers' shape looks like it's an aranda. Leaves are semi-strap.

btw angel, is that the mount behind it? it seems that it is made of some charcoal and wood
rolled in a net.... I have some lying around here may be a good idea to try.

The green material is actually a hard plastic net. The "wood" is the metal rods that form the skeleton. We saw something like it in the newer landscapes in Davao and decided to give it a try.

We made a concrete square base. With some metal rods and plastic netting material, we formed a sort of pillar. Then we filled it with charcoal.

Well, it's proving more practical than wood which rots away after some time because of the daily watering.

As promised Randy. Here's some of that stuff I was describing a while ago. This is work in progress. I was still in the process of transferring some of the other vandas from the old wood trunks. I just topped off the pillars with dendrobiums planted directly into the charcoal filling.

Yes Bruce, it is more practical, and would save more trees from being cut.
