Great find, Gilda, and thanks for sharing! I was just coming to post a picture of a nasty I've been battling for months on this on catt I have (he's been in isolation all winter, poor thing) but now I think it's aphids, thanks to your post. I might post the picture, just to be 100% sure.

You are welcome Lisa, make sure it isn't the white (bosivdual)scale, teeny tiny little things....they can be really nasty. I missed seeing you at C&H's open house !
Oh, now that might be what it is. They are very small white things (the pic didn't turn out) and they are really damaging. They are on the underside of the leaves mostly, and l've been using insect soap, which hasn't really helped, and washing them off with a toothbrush. Since it's getting warmer, I took it out for a malathon bath today.

Thanks for posting that link, Gilda. I saw my creatures there.
Sorry I couldn't make it to C&H's. My house is overflowing! I'm going to ebay my paph's soon (gotta get rid of something)

My hat's off to you, Gilda! You are the master!
I just did a web searh for he scale you suggested and found a picture here:

She suggests a mixture of 409, alcohol and water. Guess it's worth a try!

Gilda, thanks for putting that up--definitely helps with ID-ing the little suckers.
