Default Repotting a phal orchid in the appropriate medium

when i repotted my phal and before i educated myself on the appropriate medium, i repotted using regular potting soil. it stayed in full bloom for about 4 months, and has one arial root and a new leaf.
should i leave as is or repott yet again using the bark medium

I would get it out of the soil as soon as possible. No oxygen means no roots. They are not built to grow in soil, just like you could not take a sunflower and tie it to a tree and expect it to live.

Yes, it is a wonder that it is still alive. I would repot it before it takes a turn for the worst. Be aware of how you water after you repot as well. The bark will not hold water as long as potting soil.

    Cheers,

Potting soil, as some have already said, itsn't the appropriate medium for Phals.
The roots of phals like to be moist, but sill have air flow.
You Should definately repot ASAP and get it out of the soil and cut the rotted roots
