This plant's first bloom. The tepals have just tiny little green tips to them, and the lip has a lot stronger yellow at its base than I had expected.
I'm very happy.![]()

That's a sweet Brabantiae. The green tips and yellow throat are a nice enhancement to a very pretty flower. Great job!
Oh so lovely... I'll be on a lookout for one of these.
No fragrance, but these are easy to find -- a lot of growers have had listings over the past couple years for a cross of C. loddigesii 'Blue Sky' x C. aclandiae 'Blue Sky' and I think they're all the same batch. People were hoping for coeruleas, but they've all been pink so far as I know. Mine has gotten pinker as the day went on, too, I think.
Brabantiae is INCREDIBLY vigorous, by the way. I had another that I traded to a friend and when I repotted it, the whole pot was packed with roots, after not even a year. It had been watered pretty scantily for a while, too, and it was fine. I'll have to get a shot of the whole plant on this one tomorrow -- it has roots completely spilling over the side.

For a first bloom that is a great sized flower. So pretty with all the spots too. I think now I need this one too. haha..

Wow! Very pretty
It got quite a bit pinker its first day bloomed out. I didn't even know these did that, but apparently so! Took a new shot of the bloom and one of the roots, which are kind of out of control.
Pinker:
And very very rooty:
They are kind of invincible. I love mine.
Thats a really gorgeous cattleya
