Ok, here is my newest rescue. It might not even be worth my time to help it recover but I'll give it my best shot. I scooped it up about 3 days ago from a boxstore. Most of the leaves were shriveled and floppy, it was covered in mealy bugs and I could tell that it was packed into enough sphag for about 4 plants- and the sphag was pretty dry...BUT it had this beautiful flower still and a few unopened buds and I figured that for $3 dollars the flowers were at least worth it. So I carefully brought it home, dug out all the nasty, packed sphag, cleaned it up and confirmed that most of the roots were dead. I potted it back up in a coconut chip, LECA and sphag mix. I'm just wondering if there is anything else that I can do to help this little guy out. The leaves have firmed-up some but I'm guessing that they will always be somewhat wrinkled and leathery. My concern is mostly the dark spots on one of the leaves. What do you think?
