Bought more orchids

: Ok, the truth is that I am insane. I just got another 30 orchids through the mail today. I was planning to sneak them in to add to the collection so that my mom in law didn't notice. I mostly have small, small orchids and only 3 of these is under 24 inches tall. So much for the adding without notice idea.

Not going to list them all at the moment, but there is a new phal. and dendrochilum magnum, and a sharry baby. Lots of onc. alliance and a couple of bulbo.

Oh well....yeah there is no hiding that many. And the, "they threw extra in for free" only works on one and two extra...lol. (incidentally...this makes me feel tons better about those two arachnis I ordered today).

I'm glad I was able to make you feel better about things, Connie!! I have already got a plan for a cover story on some of them, but, I am just crazy. Are we sure there is no cure for this disease? Or a support group? OA (Orchids anonymos) meetings? Ah hell, I could be into bars or drugs!

I keep telling my husband, family and friends that it's better than being hooked on expensive shoes and clothes. For some reason they don't seem to find that a plausible excuse...besides, the flowers are pretty.

Here it is smoking,gambling and drugs.My wife says she doesn't do those things either and she doesn't buy orchids to make up for them. (Sighhhh) Back to sneaking in the orchids when she goes shopping!!

Don't you go shopping with her so that you can check out the orchid possibilities? And tell her that you hope some day you can be as strong a person as she is, but until them, pass the orchids.

I am so glad to hear that many of you have the same "problem" that I have. I try to add a few new plants at a time so that the family does not seem to notice the ever growing collection of orchids. The smaller plants are much easier to sneak in.

Yes, that is part of the problem, Bruce. Quill, I agree that the smaller ones are easier to sneak in. I was expecting these to be much smaller, but I have dealt with this vendor several times and evidently he was being nice to a repeat customer. I think I just see that winter is coming and I will be cut off from my drug of choice.

I like that laugh BD: it's the same laugh I use when caught trying to sneak in the orchids,heheheh.
