Thread: Ascocentrum aurantiacum and Dendrobium armeniaca Orange blooms in my garden

    Default Ascocentrum aurantiacum and Dendrobium armeniaca Orange blooms in my garden

    Just blooming again in my garden...

    The upcoming bloomers are my Aerides lawrenciae and Aerides jarckianum.

    Ummm..as far as I know, Aerides jarckianum has red color, and when I look at the cane, I think it is a kind dendrobium species. And for the other species (Aerides lawrenciae), I guess it should be Ascocentrum miniatum or Ascocentrum garayii, please anybody correct me if I am wrong.

    Sorry for the confusion.

    The 1st photo is Ascocentrum aurantiacum subsp. philippinense and the 2nd photo is Coelandria (Dendrobium) armeniaca.

    Month later will be my posts for Aerides lawrenciae and Aerides jarckianum.

    love the color of the aurantiacum hope to see mine bloom also just bought it last july already finish flowering, and never know when it shall bloom again

    I like the Dendrobium armeniaca. I sure would love to have one too. I'm confused .... is this different from Den. bullelianum or is this one and the same species?

    Derek, just wondering are all Ascocentrum aurantiacum found in the
    Philippines a subsp. philippinense ? and how does this differ from the standard
    Ascocentrum aurantiacum ?
