    Wink Stuck Phalaenopsis

When I started growing orchids, I began collecting shelves. I found these at a church rummage sale and thought they would do great. A few times i've had to unstick a plants roots from shelving...but this one takes the cake. I put it out front when we moved into the new house, and ignored it except at watering. It desperately needs repotting...but it doesn't seem to mind it's set up at all. It's thriving...and now spiking. Maybe I should have named this one...why not to use rattan shelving for orchids. lol The shelf is now missing a few pieces...but I did manage to unstick the roots growing through the shelf.

Nice. I have several plants that have grown through the wire mesh on the greenhouse benches - never to be released (well, without serious damage.) I should take a photo under the center bench sometime and post it. lol

    Cheers,

Well, Connie, I'd say that IF you want to re-pot this phal, you certainly have enough healthy roots on it...LOL! Betty :-)

It sure looks happy, Connie, why mess with it? Maybe you can just hang it by the rattan! Looking forward to seeing the blooms.
