    Default Phalaenopsis violacea blue x Dor pulcherrima blue x Dor pulcherima yellow splash

    Yeah i know this is a mouth full lol.
    I have been kindly sent one of these for free from one of my suppliers and just wondered if anyone has a picture of the flowers it will produce. The one i have is only a young plant and has burgundy coloured leaves and the flowers will be around 2 inches.

    Very interesting cross, Jason. I have seen some very nice blue violacea and pulcherrima but a Dor pulcherrima 'Yellow Splash' - is that the same as Dor pulcherrima var Champornensis?

    Hi Yew,
    I don't have a clue if it is the same. Phals are really not my thing i think thats why the supplier threw it in as he knows Phals dont like me but at least it encourages me to try again.

    That's a great freebie! I've watched that cross go really fast from a couple growers, even at higher prices. I got one earlier this year that should have similar blooms, Dtps. Purple Martin 'Tzuchiang' x Dor. pulcherrima v. coerulea, but the leaves on the Kenneth Schubert are much cuter. I'm envious, anyway!
