Its been a while since i have posted any new blooms on here! Its been a busy spring-i just put in a new vege garden with all sorts of weirdo fruit and veg, and a new fig tree i am training into an Espalier fan across the fence.....Not much time to take pictures. But tonight shall be the night! The night i take photos....

This is a first time flowering division of mine, and boy, is she a beauty! I just grow mine in pure sphagnum moss, in a dish of water about an inch deep with my Sarracenia on the windowsill. It enjoys the extra warmth and the sunlight-almost direct morning sun, the blinds provide SOME protection!

That is one i would LOVE to have! I honestly think im going to specialise in these beautiful plants-i know a guy who grows them, as well as cymbidiums and sarcs, and another guy who is selling his whole collection before he dies....apparently he is asking a "resonable" price......

I have not the good conditions to grow Disa, and I appreciate to see one in bloom. This flower is wonderful.

Great bloom Jordan. Disa are often sold as 'hardy' orchids here in the UK. Having seen yours, I might try one in the bog garden next year.

Dont give it bog conditions, the dislike stagnant water. Just grow it in a dish and keep the water topped up to an inch high. Drain every few days, or use a hydroponic system to grow them-some people use plastic kitty litter trays with one corner tipped down the slightest angle, with a drain hole in it. Water is introduced along all four sides using the same equipment as a standard gutter type hydroponic system
