Phal bellina

This is the first flower for this plant i aquired Nov '04 , it had 1 a few months ago but it just yellowed up & fell off.
Plant only has 2 full size leaves.Flower is 2" across.
Spike is only about 3" long but it takes longer to form than my Phal hybrids with 30" spikes.Flower is scented but i,ve hayfever @ the moment so can,t tell how strong & what it smells of.Root growth into s/h is extensive , it really has taken to the medium with gusto.

Very handsome flower. P. bellina is may all time favorite Phalaenopsis species. Excellent growing. Where do you live? Leave the greenhouse unlocked. j/king. Thank you for sharing.

This is the one we have here that is similar (under the old name), it smells like Froot-loops cereal.

Anyway, it is one of my favorites!

Well a new flower bud is swelling nicely & the flower has turned a lovely yellow.
I suppose it,s just about ready to drop off but @ the moment it looks really cool.

No it hasn,t been photochopped & the colours are very accurate.

Ahh - my first bloom is just about all the way open. I will post my photo later. Mine has another tiny bud on the same spike, and a second spike started also. I'm thrilled, my first bloom on this plant. Steve, your plants always look great.
