Blc. Cumberland Beauty 'Regal Jewels' HCC/AOS and Blc. Tequila Sunrise

I recently added a few plants into the greenhouse from a friend, Rich, that has had to move and had to leave plants behind. They went from his porch outside, where temperatures were much cooler than my greenhouse. I'm hoping this is to blame for the streaks on the Regal Jewels' flowers. Both arrived with buds and I hope Rich knows what pains I take to keep his 'chids in good shape. I take special care of these just in case I ever get to return them to him. The white stuff on the leaves isnt' bugs...they arrived with pollen on them.

I would isolate the Cumberland -- looks too much like virus induced colorbreak -- and have it tested.

I have no idea how to get them tested. I was keeping it isolated for now. But the virus thing was the first thing that crossed my mind. These plants have been stressed though. Their owner hasn't been able to care for them properly and I'm hoping it's just stress.

Thank You; to the two that sent me a p.m. with the information to get my plants tested. I may send sections from a few of my plants to them. I am very fond of the Tequila Sunset. I now have two pieces...both from Rich...and both seem to bloom on each new pbulb. I appreciate the nice comments... and hope Rich gets to see these. Rich is indeed a very generous man and I hope I will be able to repay him someday.
