My second Phal orchid.

I did fail to resist the lure of heading back to the big box after I got paid. I came home with some orchid fertilizer and another Phal. I had looked at this one a few days ago and was quite struck with the buds, so I was pleased to be able to bring it home with me. The picture does not do the colors justice, sadly. I need to learn how to take good pictures of my plants. The roots are in poor shape though, so she'll be getting repotted this afternoon. No pictures of the foliage and roots right now - I'll take some when I repot.

Lovely coloring!!! I have one with similar colors in bloom now; it was a birthday gift a couple of years ago and had no tag, unfortunately, but I love it anyway.

It's hard to see in my pics, but the pink blush is actually a dusting of dark pink speckles that get darker and larger towards the center of the blooms - I wish I were a better photographer. If I can get a clearer close up I'll post that too.
