It was ugly last year, it is always ugly !!! The lip is poorly developed. I only like the colors. I do not know if I'll keep it.

because even ugly needs love! Besides what's not to like about the subtle blush on the lip and the yellow throat and it's not really ugly. - martha
Actually, Eric, I find it quite attractive. I understand your desire for the fuller, more open end to the lip, but truthfully, it is still quite lovely as it is. But then I am somewhat biased as I do like many of the more 'tube' lipped catts.
I see why you feel it's ugly. I'd keep it personally. Some years they don't have good color from the temperatures. I've noticed a big difference in my Maxima when the weather is too hot.
I'd keep it as well! Poorly developed lip or not, the frilled edges and the colors are very nice.

L love it. I also think it is a keeper. I love the color and as a floral designer love the form. A great wedding bouquet orchid.
Eric to me the flowers is very unique, though the lip so different from others but it stand on it's own.

Eric I think your Cattleya trianae is very very pretty. If i could I would trade 4 modern hybrids for your plant. A lot of people love the full lips and bright colors of the modern cattleyas (me included) but they are so prolific and easily obtained, I appreciate its subtleties
Thank you.
You're right Zainal, it is unique ! Don't worry, I will keep it, you convinced me.
