phal Brother Redland Spots in spike, then bloom

Here is a photo diary for my phal Brother Redland Spots in spike. Here is the first time I noticed the spike 12.12.11

Here is the development until 1.9.12
then development til 2.28.12
and now starting to open the first buds from 3.9.12
hope you like it. I think it helps beginners see the progress and how long it takes an orchid bloom to develop.

heres one phal for those many many many who are so easily defeated by these 'easy'? 'beginner'? orchids. Beautiful plant and gorgeous accumilation of foliage. Superb cultivation. Adore the surface pattern on the exterior of those buds. In pure sphagnum aswell and so wonderfully healthy hes throwing out some tree support anchors. One cannot beat the experience aswell as the credit of such achievement. Bravo

how about some cultivation notes as delivered by you from your situ perspective., would be a shame not to! in the name of continuity ofcourse! I can see a world of monopodials through those venetians on your patio. You little tease gabriela! hehehe

the phal is actually in bark and i have only some sphagnum on top of the bark to keep the humidity in a little. I water them once a week now, in winter maybe once every 8 days and in summer once every 4 days. they are on the patio 24/7 unless the temps are below 55F then they go inside until above 55F. I feed once a week in growth times and once a month in rest period. The Phals are in the back of the patio where it is the most sheltered. Hope that helps.
