My cattleyas are in poor condition - I have got my vandaceous orchids growing really well, located above them - mainly by spraying very regularly, but at the expense of the plants below, which have been too wet . I tried repotting in more open compost - still too wet , then in a media I use for S/H - still too wet, so finally ( since I can't think of anywhere else to go) moved everything into S/H using Leca as the media. The idea is that the air spaces etc will prevent them being too wet. Too soon to know if it is the answer, but plants too wet for a couple of years and repotted three times in that time-span can't be expected to be good ...yet ( fingers crossed ! ) . So any flowers are doubly welcome.
Nicely secnted this one - used to be a Lc no doubt.
