Beautiful! Love the coloration and form of the blooms.
Very nice one Tom, Congratulation!
Like a blaze of color over a night sky. Great blooms, wonderful photograph. AL
Beautiful species and awesome photograph !!
Tom, I find it amazing that this grows in your plant room. Many a grower with southern sunlight finds Renanthera almost impossible to bloom. Bravo.
When I saw the name of the orchid and the person who posted it, I knew it was going to be incredible.Bravo!!
cheers,

Actually, it is growing by the south facing bay-window for the whole winter with few other really warm growers. In winter, this window gets direct sunlight for hours..., It grows and blooms outside in the yard(under the trees) as well. It is a slow grower but it blooms often(two or three times a year) once it is matured...
I used to grow a lot more hybrid Vandas and Cattleya(in a gh) before I moved...yes, you do need some warmth and good light for Renanthera. The only other Renanthera I have is the citrina.
BTW, the HID light is more than strong enough to grow Vandas and Renantheras if you can also keep the right temperature range. With the combination of outdoor growing, you will have better success. If anyone is interested in artificial light culture, I recomend HID light, preferably the combo type(sodium and metal halite)

Gorgeous! It is one of the smaller-growing renantheras too, if I'm not mistaken...
