Default Water Culture for Paphs and Phrags?

I've been reading some posts about water culture for catts and oncids. Has anyone used it for slipper orchids? It really appeals to me - perhaps more than the S/H I now have things in. I'd really like to know about any and all orchids that folks have put in water culture.

Can anyone help out with some information here?????

a friend of mine in Malaysia practises water cultur, since some years for Paphios. Water is in circulation. This is all I know about this.

Is this what you have meant?

Thank you for responding! From the photos, it looks as if your friend has his orchids in some kind of Semi-Hydro system, somewhat like mine. The difference, as I understand it, is that water culture uses no medium whatsoever. The plant bottom and its roots are suspended in water only, with some nutrients added. I only know this from doing some reading - no real experience or info.

I had heard that water culture works well for reviving sick, rootless Phals.
I had 3 phals with no roots at all.
    I decided to give it a try,and after about 3-4 weeks in water culture,Name: IMG_0449 (640x427).jpg

Great job!!! Thank you for the help - I am a notorious phal-eliminator and will use your technique on the phal I am currently eliminating.

PS - What are you going to do with them next?

Size: 154.8 KBI haven't decided whether to mount them,or pot them in medium bark mix.
Both ways will allow them to grow better than putting them back in spag moss.
That is what caused them to lose all their roots in the first place...
Here are some shots of a Phal I mounted about 2 months ago and today.

Wow! That's impressive! Now I'm nervous, though - after refusing to use sphag for ages because of root rot, I now have 4 phals in it. I really despise mounting orchids, primarily because I'm lazy. What do you think it is about mounting yours that worked so well?? How often do you mist them?
