pepper products on orchids

I was wondering if there would be any ill affects by using pepper tea or crushed pepper on orchids. I have used these on other plants and it works well as a good repellant against many pests. I make my own pepper tea out of the Ghost Pepper which has extreme amounts of capsicum and I don't want do damage any roots or other parts of the plants, so if anyone has any experience with this I would greatly appreciate any help or advice.

I don't know about pepper but a strong brew of tea with tobacco is a guarantee. Soak tea and tobacco overnight and brew them good enough the next morning. Cool it and apply to any affected or actively pest infestations.

I've heard of people using pepper flavored spray to keep cats from eating house plants. Don't know if bugs think the same way though. I know my actual pepper plants get bugs on them and I have to keep dusting with seven dust to ever get any of the peppers -
