Storm pictures and Encyclia tampense

Okay, while we have electricity i'm going to get a few pictures loaded. We are seriously blessed even though several of my vanda apparently flew away with the tornado. No one in our area was hurt. But several houses are down, windows blown out and it goes without saying there is debris everywhere. It's the first time i've seen tree limbs broken into 10 inch segments like firewood by a storm. And it was raining Tampense down the road. I am calling in backup trying to get it all cleaned up and calling orchid society people to get them and seed them into new trees. All in all it's been crazy, but like I said it's more a mess than a true tragedy since noone was even hurt. Thank You for the well wishes. Here are a few pictures of what it looks like. In one picture where the tree is split, the roof in the rear of the picture is our house. As you can see we are just super lucky to have no damage.

Gosh, Connie. I'm so sorry about what you're going through. I sure wish we could transport ourselves there to help out. Let us know, though, if there is anything we can do.

I'm glad that you and your family are safe. I'm also glad to see that you didn't have any major damage to your property. A few orchids lost isn't terrible. It will give you an opportunity to go shopping for some more. It's the price we pay for living down here in paradise. Good luck with your clean up.

Wish I could help you clean up, Connie. I know how much work it is. A year ago the little town where I live was 50% leveled in the worst tornado I have ever seen. The eastern side of town was just demolished. Homes and businesses are still being rebuilt and the lack of trees on that side of town is so sad. I'm so glad to know you all were a-ok!

goodness... i swear i do not miss the threat of tornadoes! of course trading them in for earthquakes isnt any better! glad you and yours made it ok, take care babe!

I am glad nobody got hurt, I had some damage too, my arbor on the patio fell over and a few orchids were damaged.
