Two Cattleya called 'Paradise'

A couple of my compact cattleya have also been in bloom for a couple weeks. I have just been too busy lately. I have to take some time off in a few weeks for a surgery. Nothing major...they are putting in a new hip. I shouldn't be down for too long. I am hoping to get some plants cataloged while I'm recuperating. In the meantime, while my dendrobium spikes are growing and sheaths getting fat, I thought i'd post a couple i'd missed posting the last couple weeks.

Thanks Bruce and Liz, for the well wishes. The joint replacement thing is getting to be old hat. I was watching the olympics last night and saw a man nearly win a footrace with two prosthetic lower leg metal things. I think sometimes this recovery stuff is all in your mind. If you want to get back and well you do. That man made me smile and reminded me that we all have challenges, some are just more visible than others. As long as I have my orchids i'll be hurrying to get home and take care of my 'chids.
