i got this several months ago. it arrived with 2 spikes beginning, which never fully developed. i watched them for months with no luck and finally stopped checking every morning. then, of course, it started a new spike and surprised me. the buds developed very quickly. lost 2 buds to ants, and/or the stuff i have sprayed to scare the ants away (didn't work much but pissed them off, and i did enjoy that). so anyway... add me to the 'i flowered a Paki' club. i love this little guy. one bloom (left) opened yesterday, the other last night and is not fully open yet. i seem to almost detect a slight scent from the first flower, but it is hard to tell. as i suspected, the flowers are green and not the cream color they always show when listing this orchid. i've grown this in bright shade, watering twice a week and misting almost daily this summer. feeding occasionally very weekly, about every other week. i'm feeding less this year, as i think i have been overfeeding in the past. and the best part - now i get to buy another vanda after having success!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![]()
