Paphiopedilum Jolly Holiday (liemeanum x phillipinense)

Hi Everyone!

This is Paph. Jolly Holiday. It's rather a sweet little paph, but I rather think that the brilliance of the liemeanum is dulled by the philippinense, not to mention that it loses the pretty green dorsal and white margin on liemeanum. Still, it's a very cheery little grower!

This photo is the first one that Phillip took on his new Nikon D300 - only took 27 hours of intensive work! It is also the first one I've attempted to edit in Aperture, so bear with us if the results aren't as good as usual.

WOW and double WOW !!! - one for the photo; another for the blooms and one more for the photgrapher (including the edit in Aperture)..
Those blooms literally leap out at you from the picture.That is one lovely paph: the philippinense hasn't taken too much away from the liemianum - I would say both of them have contributed to a good mix. I love it.
