Its doubly welcome since its the first Vanda flower in my collection for a few months following heat damage on the hottest day of the year which destroyed all the buds and flowers part open ; but also because it is a nice clean white, which I don't always find easy to produce. Bliues yes , pinks and reds , easy peasy, etc etc, but the yellow/white/green group are the most difficult - perhaps due to my conditions in chilly old England. Look to be 9 buds and flowers - quite good for a largeish Vanda - the flowers are 9cm - 3 and a half inch across - which is good going for anything with a shot of Ascocentrum blood.
