This variety is the albino form of A. quinquevulnera, and is endemic to the islands of Babuyan and Calayan, going north towards Taiwan, in the Philippines.

Nelson - exactly how many orchids do you have??? The pictures are always wonderful, and I enjoy seeing all the species. But where do you sleep??

I live in a townhouse, and my grow areas are the driveway and the small ledge outside my bedroom window.

I have a bit more than a hundred plants, almost all species and their vars and formas.

I wish I could move to a bigger place, because the plants are now so crowded and scale easily transfers from one plant to another. Their roots practically intertwine and I fear when I finally move all the plants would be melded together into one big mass that cannot go through the gate.

A few minutes ago I just got done spraying Malathion in the areas around several dends, Flickingeria scopa, and several vandas. I went into a panic because I didn't see scale in them before.

Currently it is Aerides blooming time. Several of the Aerides are new; I seem to have a problem with blooming them here. I think they usually bloom when the root masses are much bigger, although I have plants that have fat roots almost 2 feet long already. It also helps that most buyers go after big gaudy hybrids and leave Aerides alone; they don't know what theyre missing!

WOW! That is really amazing!
I just have around a dozen species mostly tied in our Manila palm trees and caimito trees in our backyard. Some of our orchids were just given to us by our neighbors and relatives from the provinces.

Most of our orchids were sanngumay (Dendrobium anosmum) and I bought 2 plants last February in the last day of the orchid show (that's why i get it at a bargain price).

I tied it in our Manila palm . I also recently acquired a lesser sanggumay
Dendrobium aphyllum or cuculatum???? white variety .... In a weekend market in Lung center grounds near Quezon Cityhall.

I am into hoya plant collection too!Nice orchid.
