    Default Patricia Traffle 'Neptune'

    Hi, Merry Christmas to everyone, I thought I would post this cattleya plant because it has done so well in the (3) years I have had it. I have mostly phals. that I grow (or try too) and I thought it would be a challenge to try a small cat. but has bloomed for me many times sometimes (3) times a year and it has a nice fragrance as a plus. I just thought I would pass this on to some members who might be alittle leery of trying something different. When successful it adds to the enjoyment of the hobby. Hank......

    Beautiful! Your orchid has all the qualities that growers look for in a mini-catt.. The flowers are large for a small plant, the flower shape is perfect, the color contrast is very nice, it blooms several times a year, and it's fragrant. You just can't do any better than that. I will buy one of those in a heart-beat if I see it offered somewhere. Congratulations on a very nice orchid.

    I think that should be C. (or Slc.) Patricia Taaffe, (C. loddigesii x (C. pumila x C. coccinea)). Obviously an over-achiever and very well grown. Lovely.
