Okay, so I've been using the chopsticks to test the moisture of the bark inside the pots and it's very wet a lot. So I've cut back to once every two weeks, for PHALS! I'm a little concerned I guess. There's not much air movement anymore, because it's not hot enough for the fans. Should I turn on the fans anyway, just for the orchids or what?

Turn them on , not blowing directly on them . They need the air circulation . Every 2 weeks does not sound right for Phals. are the roots good , if there is a problem they will stay wet for too long, not drinking enough . One of the things that can be done if a person has a problem with overwatering or not drying out is when the plant is repotted layer the mix with pieces of styrofoam non melting kind . styro. mix.. styro... mix ect . size of the pieces depends on the size of the pot / plant ..approx. 25 cent size to 50 cents size for the styro . if your humidity is good (i.e. >50%), you can aim the fan at the plants. nothing breeds rot more than hot humid stagnant air.

YES get some air moving. How much light are they getting? @ weeks is a long time to remain wet for anything even in the dark. If they are in the house that is still to long. My plants dry out in 3 days or so in the house when in bloom and I water about everyday out in the GH and outdoor plants, but then again I;m in GA and its still getting in the 90's here.

what medium are you using? i.e. fine or medium bark. old bark will also hold water forever as it turns into mush.

They've all got rocks on the bottom of every pot to help it drain. I arranged them myself to allow water to come right out, and it does.

They get a lot of window light, their coloring is good and there's no leaves falling off or anything. I just leave my blinds open all day now, so I can't say for sure what they get, but it's pretty bright and they've got good color, not too dark.

The medium is medium and is mixed with shultz and gubler (or however it's spelled). It's not old AT ALL, only a couple of months, four months old TOPS.

Do you have air cirulation with them being in the window sill?

Most of the time, yes. Though not the passed few days because it's been pretty cold.
