Labelled C. Mini Purple 'Tamami' mutant.
No idea why 'mutant', anyway, it has 3 flowers on the spike.

One of my favourites. A potential breeder, perhaps?
While I've always admired the form of Mini Purple, I have never been able to stand the smell. (I find it too disagreeable to dignify it as a "fragrance." heh)
Very pretty! I have a small Mini Purple but it's never bloomed yet. I hope it's as nice as yours.

Some orchids change the color or the shape from one year to the other and this can be the reason why the nursery added mutant to the label.
I have some mutant plants.
This year you can be happy with the color and the shape. Next year????
This is the best its flowered in 3 years ( this plant). I have 3 other pieces of it in flower but nothing like this. I have 3 other Mini Purples in bud or coming out I'll post as I can.
As a breeder, one of the plants to come kill this one. I believe has also been bred with & produced quality.
