Phal: Brother Gold??

I bought this about three days ago, just could not resist!!! but sadly I paid about 35us(250tt) for it but as I once said I treat myself at times, the man had about ten different orchids in his stall at the local market and so this was one I chose but sadly he did not have the name because in getting things prepared the tags got misplaced. so I am wondering if it is the brother gold, I googled it and came up with what seemed to be the same flower. I hate when they do not have the name tags it is like someone who does not know his/her name and is unidentified, poor plant, the plant was in a clay pot that had no slits at all he said that they had taken them out of the clear plastic pots so that he could transport them properly, so the next day it was bothering me and I took it out and to my amazement he had just taken it from the other pot with all the sphagnum and into the clay pot, I wanted to take off the moss but I left it the roots are really healthy and I put it into a real orchid clay pot with stones and some coals but I want to find out if I should have removed some of the moss it is really tight in there and a bit wet too.,,

If the roots stay too wet, they will rot. Phal orchid roots need to breath. They like to be damp, but not wet for long periods of time. The way I water, orchids in sphagnum would not survive. I use a free draining mix I make up myself. See this video:

It's hard to find out the names if they do not come with a tag. There are so many phals that look alike. I usually give them a nickname to help me remember where I bought them, or sometimes I name them for the flower. For example; a nice cattleya I have blooming right now goes by the nickname Pretty in Purple and Pink. If you don't plan to cross your plants it really is just a name.

Did the vendor mention Phal bother Gold or was that from googling?

the vendor did not even seem to know too much all he said is that the tags got misplaced when they were repotting the plants so I googled and saw some flowers that looked exactly like it, but I have repotted it this morning the roots are very healthy and long, green and fresh, the sphagnum was so compact and really a lot, I took it off and re potted in a orchid clay pot with stones, coconut chips, charcoal and just a few pieces of sphagnum so I know that root rot would not bother it, take a look at the roots. I took Bruce's comments into consideration and well went with it.
