I have one particular Phal plant that has an odd way of shedding old leaves--overnight in a matter of hours the oldest leaf will collapse into a green slimy mass. It is not infectious and does not spread to other leaves. This only happens on occasion when the plant is ripe to shed the oldest leaf, and it is the only way this particular plant has shed leaves in my care. I've had the plant for nearly two years and it's done this three times so far. Pretty odd, huh. The plant looks to be in excellent health and blooms regularly.
