My Coelogyne intermedia has spent most of the summer outside, and has responded well to the watering and feeding that I have given it. It has doubled in size (each mature pseudobulb developed another), and today I spotted early signs of flower spikes! I acquired this orchid last year, so this will be the first re-flowering (hopefully, fingers crossed!)

The close-up shows one of the new pseudobulbs with the initiation of a flower spike. I have indicated where I can see it with the red arrow. There are a couple more like this on the plant:
My pale pink standard Cymbidium has also spent the summer outside, keeping Coelogyne intermedia company.This big plant also has what I believe to be emerging spikes, as shown below:
