One more Christmas bloomer, Dendrobium equitans

Dendrobium equitans is endemic to the Philippines and Taiwan. The blooms are tiny, perhaps half an inch across, borne on grass like dead looking cane tips.

One more pristine white species dend with intricate lip.

Lovely pic as always, and what a beautiful plant! Love the contrast between the 'twigs' and the flowers. How long do the flowers on these lasts? and are those more buds on the nodes?

Those are sites where there were flowers, previously. The plant has been with me for only three months, and it was in bloom when it got here. I was amazed that it produced a second set of blooms so soon. Flowers last about a week, at least, surprisingly long for such tiny thangs.

hmm, we don't have those dishes here unfortunately... and if I remember correctly, the puto bungbong is a purple dessert that is only sold in new years eve right... well I also remember that dish to be very very yummy!!!

aaah well, will just have to enjoy the food and company! Oh and I think another orchid about to open... fingers crossed....
