Hi got these 2 new NOID phals. leaves of one of them had a molted leaves and had to buy it....![]()
I almost bought one of these mottled leaves mini phals last week, but all of them had spikes growing from the centre of the crown and if I'm not wrong this will kill the plant sooner or later because it can't grow new leaves.

Hi Jesus,
Thank you for the hint would watch out next time. I did not know that if the phal spikes come out of the centre of the crown , it would not grow new leaves. is it some kind of mutation behavior?
Very nice acquisitions. It has been my experience that the mottled leaved phals are almost impossible to bloom under my lowland conditions. They'll produce lots of keikis from the flower spikes, but no blooms. Hope you have better than me.
Mottled leaves in a Phal are signs of Phal schilleriana. Your plant may be a species or a hybrid with schilleriana in it.
Both are very beautiful I think the second one is stuartiana hybrid as I can see remnants of lower petals still there.
Yes, I think the second one Phal (with the mottled leaves)
is a prymare hybrid of Phal. shilleriana and Phal. Stuartiana,
and it's name is Phal. Wiganiae. Congrats, it's very beautiful one!
Both are beautiful!!

Both are beautiful but i like the mottled leaf one more.
where from did you buy them?
