    seen one double lip catasetum in the internet but first time having one myself !!

    That is definately strange. I had Catasetums before and never got anything like that. Looks like it has very nice color!

    though i collect mainly catasetinae, this is the first time for me to see one with my own eyes as well. some suggested is due to hybridization. so i am hoping to see one in a catasetum species.
    personally, i just think they happen once in a blue moon, just like when you see occurrence of a siamese twins in the news
