    Default The Denver Botanic Garden Winter Orchid Display

    On January 8th, the Denver Botanic Gardens opened their annual Winter Phalaeonpsis display and I attended with 2 orchid fan friends. It was my second time visiting the Gardens. One nice note, my AOS membership gave me free admission to the gardens. I will have to go back more often now.

    We were unprepared for the treat that awaited us. Not only did we walk thru the greenhouse jungle, there were many more orchids than just phalaeonpsis orchids on display.

    They had a very nice display with a number of different species all artfully planted as you will see below. I am sorry with the number of posts it will take to show the gardens but it was beautiful; orchid and otherwise, and worth the effort to post them all.

    I lived for a while in Denver almost 20 years ago and visited the Denver Botanic Gardens, but never got to see their orchid displays. Thanks for sharing such wonderful pictures!
