Wink Dendrobium Nopporn Greenstar- My first rebloom?

This dendrbium Nopporn Greenstar moved into my home in November. It was in bloom at the time. Those flowers did last pretty long but were done by early January.

Soon after I removed that spike, I noticed that another spike was growing.

You can see it has now opened 2 of the 3 buds (the spike when I bought it had maybe 12 blooms on it). The 3rd bud is days away from being open. My bloom number is lower than the original spike but I'll take it.

Does that qualify as a rebloom? And is this spike to my credit?

Thanks! It means a lot to me coming from both of you!

I have a lot of new growth on almost every one of my orchids. Everything is going very well. I have a few oncidiums with so many new growths it doubles the number of pbs on the orchid.

I haven't killed one (yet) since I started serious growing. I am very nervous. When things are going this smoothly and apparently, successfully, I am just on guard for the other shoe to drop.

What is it going to be? Infestation? disease?

I don't see why you can't take credit for the new spike. Your orchids have passed through a winter season now with no real problems and that is when many more northern or temperate growers have higher mortality. Your doing well my friend. AL

It's gorgeous, of course you can count the bloom!

It's still winter season here, darn it! It's so cold and windy that I stayed home today because I wouldn't leave our two dogs out in the kennel all day while we shopped. My poor husband had to go alone. It's thoroughly unpleasant!

Now I need to fix up a place to get some decent pictures of the Phals and Paph I have blooming so I can post them! All the backgrounds in the house are so busy I just hate the pictures I get, too distracting.

Nicely done, Harvey! I really like the color saturation. Den. phalaenopsis type hybrids are not the easiest things to rebloom. You must have a good amount of light in your growing area! Congratulations on a job well done!
