Vanda Sansai Blue

This is a first time bloomer under my care. Its first spike was aborted last January due to drastic temperature change (my assumption). I then thought i could not get it to bloom since its parents are highland species. Does anyone know if this flowers frequently at any time of the year? Here it is!

A very beautiful specimen. Very lovely bold tesselations! Yes they are quite free flowering in the lowlands, about 3 times a year here.

Very nice ! I love this hybrid, but the color on your plant is very different from the one on mine.

Thanks Amey, the color is quite confusing when taken with a dslr, it changes too if when i used flash.. the coerulea traits are truly divine

Congratulations on blooming your Vanda. I managed to bloom a Vanda as well for the first time, but only three blooms. On the other hand, they last very very long. They were fully open on January 11 and they're still looking as fresh as the first day.

Hello Jesus, in my case, two of the flowers are about to wilt, the pollens have been removed by an insect or bird.The weather here too becomes so hot, i hope the flowers could withstand it. Im sure the second time it blooms, your sansai will have more flowers, give it some bloom booster without urea

It did have more buds, but I had to take it inside because of the cold weather and I think most buds blasted because of the low humidity inside.
I must see if I can think of something to increase humidity for next winter.
