Holiday is over (except I decided to not go in today!) and I flew back home here in Colorado on Sunday evening. But given the nature of our weather in the spring and fall, one day can be 65 F (Saturday in Denver) and the next, snowy and cold (Sunday in Denver). It is not uncommon.
Even though the roads were rather warm, the cold and ferocity of the snow did cause them to get wet and then icy. The drive from the airport was treacherous. I saw lots of wrecks on the way. But I made it safely.
My orchids survived the 5 days alone mostly well. 2 are rather unhappy from being too dry. One of them may be lost. I guess it should have been in the orchidarium over the span.
I hope to go and retrieve my orchids at the baby sitters today.
Here is where I sunned my orchids last weekend. Only 2 inches deep at most. It should be fine to sun them there again by next weekend.
