Cattleya sheath and potting delemma

Not sure this plant is going to flower. If this is a sheath, I haven't seen much activity. So if any one can clarify if this is about to flower and if so how long does it take?

Second, after it flowers I am wondering what would be the best way to repot. It is in a 6 inch pot and with all the roots I am not sure there is a pot that will be large enough. Any ideas?
