I just ran across a terrific reference site for phal species and primary hybrids. Aside from the terrific photos of each species and its varieties, it shows photos of the primary hybrids of many of the species. It's quite fun - but be warned: you'll burn a lot of time staring at pretty pictures!

Jenn, I am anxiously waiting for my P. stuartiana var. nobilis flowers to open. I imported this plant last year from Malaysia. It arrived with a leaf spand of 3 inches. It is still fairly small for a P. stuartiana. 12 buds just sitting there, teasing me. I've seen many of them in bloom. Some turn out with normal coloration. The others age to a golden yellow. The only fault that I have seen is that the yellow forms have horrible flower confirmation. I'll try to post when mine opens, hopefully next week.
