Wonderful blooms & pics! Thank you for sharing!
My B. carunculatum is in bloom now, too. I tried to grow B. reticulatum but it died both times. I guess I did not find what the plant needs. Yours is a true beauty!!

reticulatum needs dolomie as some paph does. keep wet in sphagnum and add oyster shell like i do and reticulatum will bloom quite easely...
refractilingue is quite difficult, i grow it mounted on lot of sphag. not so tricky to grow but difficult to spike. i will dopicture in few days.
Thanks!
I tried to grow Bulb. reticulatum twice. Second time I was more experienced grower and added oyster shells to sphagnum moss but my plant died anyway. It was three year ago or so. I think I should try it again for the species is just adorable. I love its wonderful leaves.
Bulb. refractilingue is a Newbie in my collection. I purchased it at the last Redland Festival, May 2014. I did not find a decent pot so I used a shower tower tray![]()
still in search for a better way to plant it.

what kind of sphag do you use?
Both are beautiful!

even if media is not the most important point for orchids growing, i don't use chilean anymore: chilean is more aciditic, it retains more salts and stay wet and less aerated than the one from new zaeland...maybe for some species it part of the key for succes...
