    Default Encyclia vitellina.

This a tiny plant.Pseudobulbs are less than 1" high.
Spike is about 12" high with 3 flowers.
The colour(which is very hard to get right without natural light) is a really deep orange.
This is it,s first blooming.Blooms are just over 1" across.

They look like they come with their own batteries!

But you're right, Steve - it's really hard to get those shades photographed accurately.

I've long thought it would be neat to have a Photography forum where we could discuss the techniques of orchid photography. We have some wonderful pros here and a lot of learned experience among us.
