Default Paph. 'Pinocchio' - living up to it's name!

I bought this plant just over two years ago and it is still blooming from the same spike - which is now a precarious (and much supported) 75cm tall. I am amazed that it just keeps going!
Each flower lasts about a month and it is grown in my living room full-time in a north window and watered heavily all year round (humidity about 50-60%)

Does anyone know how long this variety flowers for?

*The two lower flowers are from a new spike from a growth at the back of the plant and there is another new growth appearing just behind that ;-)

I had Paph glaucophyllum, one of the parent species of Pinocchio, that had 30 flowers over the course of 27 months on one spike, probably twice the length of yours at that time. I'm sure it would have kept going for quite a while yet, but I cut it. The plant had 2 other spikes beginning to bloom, and the old spike was getting hard to contain, and the flowers were getting progressively smaller. I'm sure your plant can go quite a while yet.

One note of caution. With a Paph that stays in bloom forever it can be tempting to wait WAY too long to re-pot. My experience re-potting these in bloom is they might blast one bud, then just keep going. When you have new growth coming on in spring is the ideal time. At least check the condition of the media and roots very carefully if you haven't re-potted in 2 years.

I have never seen one do that for so long. I guess there comes a time between pride of blooming it and general appearance that you will want to cut it. It will have more energy for the other spikes.
