Wooow the color is so intense
Could be Ctna. Koolau Sunset 'Hawaii'
It might not be Ctna. Koolau Sunset, whether 'Hawaii' or one of the several similar clones, but that is definitely the right type. There are quite a few similar hybrids. So yes, it is a Cattleya alliance plant, and certainly a Cattleytonia type. Ancestry from Broughtonia sanguinea, Cattleya bicolor or a similar bifoliate Catt, large floofy Catts, and probably "Sophronitis" C. coccinea, maybe others. The color intensity comes from the combination of the brown background color of C. bicolor with the red of Bro. sanquinea and C. coccinea, with the big floofy Catts filling out the shape.
Lovely colour. Yes could be Ctna Koolau Sunset.
