Vanda in Bloom

This is one of three Vanda/Ascocenda orchids that I have had for 5-6 years that have never bloomed for me. In that time I have lived in two different houses and have moved them and moved them to try to find the right place for the correct light needed, well I finally found that spot, within 3 months since the last location move I had spikes.

This one I have lost the tag, I sent a picture to the grower and in response he said he though it might be a Vanda Josephine van Brero X Vanda Motes Resplendent, because I am not exactly sure on the name I guess I will have to use the noid name.

I will be posting another of the ones that are finally blooming for me in the next few days as the buds have started to open. If it is as nice as this one it was worth the wait!

Very nice. I love the Classic 3/4 terete leaf vanda's. Never fail to impress and color combination is very nice.

Thanks everyone for your comments, it was well worth the wait for the first bloom for me, I see this when I look out my kitchen window every time I am in the kitchen.
