Smile Vanda (syn. Christensonia) vietnamica x Ascocentrum ampullaceum hybrid

Newly purchased. Malaysian's hybrid originated from Penang. My first orange coloured orchid.

Looks nice. Both the parents (ampullaceum x vietnamica) have pointed leaves but leaves on this are much more bigger and rounder than ampullaceum or vietnamica. Looks like something else is also in the mix.

The leaves are pointed actually. But regarding the shape and size of leaf I cannot comment much on that because I don't have any of the parents in my collection to compare with. I was told by the grower it is Ascocentrum ampullaceum 'aurantiacum'. Not so sure if it is a species or hybrid. Or perhaps the bigger size leaves due to hybrid vigor I suppose?
