A very floriferous hybrid this one . Still in a 7 inch pot, but with 7 spikes in flower, and another 3 on the way. "Only" 4 or 5 flowers per spike, due to the parentage - 25% Cym. goeringii - which is often single flowered, and 25% Cym. sinense, which is also few flowered - as compared to the older , larger hybrids - but the number of spikes more than makes up for that.Those two species are chinese ones , and I guess they have only been available to obtain breeding stock relatively recently.
Personally I love these flowers, and I am getting rid of my older hybrids to make way for more of this kind of thing.
