This is the one I bought on Thursday.
I'll take another picture or 2 when all 3 buds are open.

Neat! I have three Brassavola species or primary hybrids. One of them for 4 years. None have ever flowered.
You are gonna love this orchid. Ours is in bloom now and it is so pretty. I found that they do better mounted rather than potted in our greenhouse. Good luck!
cheers,

Very pretty, Harvey!
Wonderful smell at night I like it.
I hate to choose favorites, but I do hold this plant close to my heart (mine is actually 'Little Stars'). It grows so beautifully on my lanai, here in Florida and its flowers smell so heavenly after dark. Mine has really responded to being moved from a pot to basket culture and has new growths sticking out all along the sides and the bottom. I guess that would be similar to being mounted, but I do have an airy bit of long fiber coconut husk in the basket for it to wind around and to retain a bit more moisture. Some say theirs bloom throughout the year, but mine is mostly in the fall.
Thanks for the info Lynda! I haven't gotten to smell this one yet. I have it at work and I am nowhere near the office when it is fragrant. Maybe this Thursday, our afternoon temps are supposed to be near 60 F, I'll take it home. Which means I have to bring one in to replace it. I have a second peloric Phal in spike. I think I'll bring it to the office in place of the nodosa.
I have decided that once this blooming cycle has completed that it will get moved from the pot to a mount or basket. Seems to be the consensus that mounted/basket is the way to go with this one.
